Step 1: Confirm Your Eligibility
Before applying, make sure you meet the eligibility requirements.
To take the INBDE, you must:
- Graduate from a dental education program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation
- Be a current student in a CODA-accredited program eligible for examination
- Be a candidate for dental licensure in the United States
Step 2: Create an Account & Apply
The INBDE is administered by the American Dental Association (ADA) through the Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations (JCNDE).
To begin:
- Create a DENTPIN® (Dental Personal Identification Number) if you do not already have one
- Complete your application online through the ADA’s official examination portal
- Submit required personal and educational documentation
